As a Senior Applied AI Engineer, you will lead the design, deployment, and optimization of production-scale AI systems, including LLMs and advanced machine learning models. You will work on high-impact projects that directly influence model performance, reliability, and scalability while collaborating with cross-functional teams globally. This role combines hands-on technical execution with mentorship and leadership, enabling you to shape engineering standards, elevate system architecture, and drive innovation. You will contribute to building systems that make measurable real-world impacts, operating in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment that prioritizes both technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving.
Accountabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Designing, building, and maintaining production-grade evaluation systems to improve AI model accuracy, latency, and reliability.
Leading experimentation, fine-tuning, and feedback-driven optimization loops for continuous model improvement.
Advancing AI/ML orchestration to ensure scalable, resilient, and efficient deployments.
Setting and maintaining high technical standards, mentoring team members, and promoting engineering best practices.
Collaborating across teams to integrate AI systems into production environments effectively.
Participating in on-call rotations to monitor and troubleshoot AI/data pipelines, ensuring system stability.
Documenting processes and sharing knowledge to support global collaboration and operational excellence.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Advanced programming expertise in Python and SQL, with strong system design skills.
Extensive experience deploying machine learning and deep learning models in production, with LLM/GenAI experience strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of experimentation frameworks, evaluation metrics, and ML Ops practices.
Proven ability to own critical systems end-to-end and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills in a globally distributed environment.
Comfort with on-call responsibilities, troubleshooting, and rapid problem-solving under high-impact conditions.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with large-scale AI/ML system orchestration.
Familiarity with compliance, security, and monitoring practices in AI deployments.
Prior experience in mission-driven, high-velocity environments or the blockchain/fintech sector.
