This is an early-career engineering role supporting end-to-end AI development. You’ll help maintain data pipelines, assist with model training and tuning, strengthen production services, and work with senior engineers and legal teams to deliver practical AI tools.

Key Responsibilities Support the AI Director in evaluating and integrating AI technologies. Contribute to building AI components such as retrieval pipelines, fine-tuned models, and workflow automations. Assist with MLOps tasks: CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and model reliability. Translate legal or business needs into prototypes or simple technical solutions. Help prepare and manage sensitive data sets using secure storage and retrieval methods. Follow established coding, testing, and observability practices while developing technical skills. Research new Gen-AI tools, open-source models, and vendor offerings and provide recommendations. Build scripts and integrations connecting AI tools to internal systems (document management, CRM, case systems). Create prototypes and small proof-of-concepts to explore new AI capabilities. Work with APIs and SDKs to connect AI services to firm platforms. Assist in evaluating external AI vendors for technical fit, scalability, and security. Support pilot programs and troubleshoot early adoption issues. Keep up with emerging AI technologies relevant to professional services. Document architectures, integration methods, and operational steps for deployed solutions. Contribute to technical components of the firm’s AI strategy.

Requirements Masters in AI/ML or similar. 1-3 years of software engineering experience, ideally with some exposure to ML/AI systems. Strong Python skills and familiarity with at least one deep-learning framework and modern Gen-AI tooling. Experience with AWS or GCP, containers, IaC tools, and GPU/accelerator workloads. Comfortable working with REST, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs. Good product instincts and ability to work with end-users. Bonus: experience with regulated/privileged data and privacy controls. Experience with automation, API integrations, webhooks, and SDKs.
