As a Manager within the Platforms & Integrations team, you will lead engineering efforts at the intersection of applied AI and modern cloud data platforms—powering precision care, accelerating discovery, and enabling scalable software solutions for one of the worlds premier health systems. This is a high-impact role for a technically sophisticated leader who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. General Position Summary

The Data Platforms & AI Engineering Manager is a hands-on technical leader responsible for growing a small team of engineers delivering scalable, production-grade systems for the dual goals of clinical research data enablement and AI applications. You will guide the development of AI-powered clinical decision support tools, secure and scalable research data pipelines, and a reimagined enterprise analytics platform built on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks. The ideal candidate combines deep technical skill with a focus on execution—able to design, build, and coach in equal measure. Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software and platform engineers responsible for AI solution development, MLOps infrastructure, and data platform administration. Drive the successful delivery of applied AI projects, including LLM-enabled applications, clinical decision support tools, and patient cohort analytics. Oversee the development and enhancement of cloud-based data platforms, ensuring reliable, secure, and performant access to health system and research data. Partner with enterprise data engineering and analytics teams to advance our platform strategy, including adoption of Microsoft Fabric and Databricks for modern ELT, mirroring, and data productization. Own and evolve the teams engineering practices, including source control workflows, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, observability, testing, and release processes. Partner with your Enterprise IT Architect team member on architecture decisions related to AI/ML systems, data platforms, and APIs, balancing performance, maintainability, and security. Support responsible AI development by contributing to risk assessments and governance reviews. Collaborate closely with IT, research, clinical, and vendor partners to translate needs into buildable technical plans. Support team growth and cohesion, and enable a culture of collaboration within and outside your immediate team. Experience with the Following is Strongly Preferred

Cloud data platforms including Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and associated Azure services (e.g., OneLake, Delta Lake) Healthcare data environments, including Epic Cogito, FHIR, and OMOP Workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow) LLMOps and MLOps platforms (e.g. MLflow, PromptFlow) Generative AI and NLP tools (e.g. Azure OpenAI, John Snow Labs) Experience with the Following is a Plus

Enterprise cloud platforms, especially Azure, including experience with cost optimization, RBAC, and resource management Data science methodologies, including supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and statistical inference Feature engineering and data productization, including feature stores or reusable data assets API management and integration platforms such as MuleSoft Education

Work requires a professional level of knowledge in Information Systems as acquired through completion of a Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Business Management, or related field. A Masters Degree is preferred. Work Experience

Work requires demonstrated a minimum of 7 years of experience with computer systems and applications, as well as a minimum of 5 years of planning and managing projects. Salary

Salary Range:

Minimum 53.55/hour - Maximum 93.74/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
