An enterprise media organization is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to support the design and development of production AI applications in a remote U.S. setting. This role focuses on building scalable backend services, AI-driven workflows, and modern cloud-based solutions using Python, LLMs, FastAPI, and AWS.

Remote Responsibilities:

Build and maintain scalable backend microservices using Python and FastAPI. Develop AI tools, guardrails, and deterministic functions used to support AI agents and visual asset workflows. Implement distributed orchestration patterns for high-volume job dispatching and workflow processing. Integrate LLMs and third-party AI endpoints into production applications and owned infrastructure. Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to design, test, and deliver reliable solutions in an agile environment. Qualifications:

7+ years of professional software engineering experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience Strong proficiency in modern Python Hands-on experience deploying and operating services in AWS, Azure, or GCP Practical experience integrating LLMs into software applications, including inferencing endpoints, context windows, and AI-generated content parsing Applied experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools Experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in an agile environment Strong understanding of digital and broadcast production operations and workflows Strong knowledge of AI industry trends and best practices Strong experience with the C4 model and traditional design artifacts Desired Skills:

Experience with AI agents, orchestration, and distributed systems Experience with serverless infrastructure Familiarity with continuous integration practices Experience with Java, Go, or JavaScript Experience working with AWS and Azure
