Description:
We are seeking a Senior Security AI Engineer to design and build AI-enabled security solutions and automations across enterprise security domains, including security operations, cloud and infrastructure security, identity, and application security.
This role is focused on hands-on engineering and solution delivery. The successful candidate will work on complex security problems, design appropriate AI-augmented or automated solutions, and implement them in production environments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
8+ years of experience in security engineering, systems engineering, or security automation
Strong experience building and deploying production security systems or automations
Solid understanding of:
Security operations concepts
Cloud and infrastructure environments
Identity and access management
Experience using AI or LLM-based capabilities as part of real systems
Proficiency in programming or scripting (Python or similar)
Experience working with APIs and distributed systems
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in a related technical field
Experience designing AI-assisted workflows or agent-like systems
Background across multiple security domains (SOC, cloud, IAM, AppSec)
Experience integrating with enterprise security platforms and internal services

Contributes reusable patterns that scale across security domains

Responsibilities
Design and build AI-assisted security solutions, including agent-style workflows and decision services
Translate security problems into engineered, production-ready solutions
Develop integrations and automations using APIs, services, and event-driven architectures
Apply engineering judgment to determine when AI, automation, or traditional logic is appropriate
Work across multiple security domains to deliver reusable solutions
Collaborate with security engineers, platform engineers, and data scientists as needed
Write maintainable, well-tested code and automation logic
Must Have:
Should focus more on automation within Azure, ADX, Defender, and related security environments.
Strong hands-on experience is critical, especially in:
Azure AI/AI Foundry
Security Copilot
Copilot Studio
ADX
Sentinel
Defender
Security automation
AI-enabled security solutions across SecOps, cloud security, IAM, and application security
Experience with Google Vertex AI or AWS Bedrock may be acceptable, but Azure experience is strongly preferred.
Candidates must demonstrate practical problem-solving and hands-on keyboard ability during technical evaluation.
Manager noted many candidates looked qualified on paper but could not perform practically in interviews they have add with other MSP programs so far.
