Public Sector | Enterprise?Scale AI Platform
Overview
A large municipal organization serving one of the nation's largest metropolitan populations is seeking a senior?level Copilot Studio and Azure AI professional to analyze, stabilize, and modernize an existing, enterprise?scale conversational AI platform.
This role focuses on improving and extending a mature Copilot Studio implementation, not building a net?new solution. The current platform supports a public?facing virtual assistant with hundreds of topics and is a critical digital service for residents, businesses, and internal teams.
You will play a key role in advancing how artificial intelligence supports digital services across public websites, internal portals, and collaboration platforms, helping a major city take its AI capabilities to the next level.
What You'll Do
As a senior technical resource, you will evaluate and enhance an existing Copilot Studio agent containing approximately 600 topics, ensuring it is scalable, accurate, maintainable, and aligned with modern Azure AI best practices.
Copilot Studio Analysis & Optimization
Review a large?scale Copilot Studio agent to identify:
Redundant or overlapping topics
Routing inefficiencies and performance issues
Gaps where generative or RAG?based approaches would improve quality
Refactor and streamline topic structure to improve maintainability and user experience
Convert static, rule?based topics to grounded generative experiences where appropriate
Azure AI / Foundry Enhancements
Modernize the solution by introducing Azure AI and Azure AI Foundry capabilities, potentially including:
Cognitive Search with vector embeddings
Custom retrieval?augmented generation (RAG) endpoints
Function and tool calling to support deeper reasoning
Improved document and website grounding for higher accuracy and control
Replace legacy website ingestion methods with newer Azure AI approaches
Advanced Capabilities
Implement new AI features such as:
Summarization
Advanced query understanding
Context persistence across long conversations
