Leading a senior team in a remote full-time capacity, the Senior AI Engineering Manager will oversee the development of a shared AI platform for internal systems, focusing on identity access, cost management, and enabling safe adoption of AI tools across the organization.
Key responsibilities
Lead and develop a senior team in platform engineering and technical program management, setting clear goals and expectations
Manage the AI access layer, including identity and authentication, integration permissions, and safety guardrails for AI tool adoption
Oversee AI cost engineering, ensuring traceability of AI spend and establishing budget thresholds in collaboration with Finance
Required qualifications
8+ years in platform, infrastructure, or systems engineering, with 3+ years in a managerial role
Experience creating and managing an internal AI or developer platform from inception
Fluency in AI cost engineering, including usage attribution and model right-sizing
Hands-on technical expertise in LLM platform tooling, identity management, and infrastructure as code
Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship
