Team Description:
You will work with the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team, a dynamic group focused on enhancing Capital One’s AI capabilities. This team collaborates across the organization to advance AI science and engineering, creating proprietary solutions that provide value to millions. Your expertise will empower teams to integrate AI into their products effectively and responsibly.
In this role, you will:
Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers, to launch AI-powered solutions that transform operational processes and enhance customer interactions.
Design, develop, and support AI software components, covering areas such as foundation model training, language model inference, and model governance.
Utilize a range of cutting-edge technologies like AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, PyTorch, and more to implement robust AI solutions.
Innovate with state-of-the-art optimization techniques to enhance the performance and scalability of AI systems.
Shape the technical vision and long-term strategy for foundational AI systems at Capital One.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields with at least 6 years of AI/Machine Learning experience; or a Master's degree with at least 4 years of experience.
At least 6 years of programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
7 years of experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.).
Experience in designing and supporting complex AI systems.
Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams and influence stakeholders.
Experience with technologies including LLM Inference, Similarity Search, and optimization techniques.
Strong communication skills, enabling you to explain complex AI concepts to diverse audiences.
