The Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team is pivotal in bringing our AI vision to life. Collaborating closely with partners across the organization, we push the boundaries of AI science and engineering, delivering proprietary solutions that significantly benefit millions of customers. Our AI models and platforms not only enhance our products but do so in responsible and scalable ways.
Your Role Includes:
Collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered products that enhance associate workflows and customer interactions.
Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining AI software components such as foundation model training and large language model inference.
Utilizing leading-edge technologies including AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and others.
Implementing innovative LLM optimization techniques to boost performance metrics like scalability, cost efficiency, latency, and throughput.
Contributing to the technical vision and long-term roadmap for foundational AI systems at Capital One.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 4 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
4 years of experience in programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
6 years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms.
Experience in designing and supporting AI services.
Experience with AI and ML algorithms, including LLM Inference and Similarity Search.
Expertise in state-of-the-art optimization techniques for training and inference software.
A strong desire to stay updated on AI research and technologies.
This role is based in the following locations: Cambridge, MA; McLean, VA; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; San Jose, CA. The salary range for this position varies by location.
