Team Overview:
The Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team leads the implementation of AI innovation at Capital One. Our mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in AI and science, delivering proprietary solutions that drive significant value for millions of customers. Our AI models and platforms empower cross-functional teams to responsibly leverage AI, maximizing impact and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-powered solutions that transform customer and associate experiences.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI software components, including large language model training, inference, similarity search, and model governance.
Utilize a variety of Open Source and SaaS technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, and PyTorch.
Implement state-of-the-art optimization techniques for performance enhancement across large-scale AI systems.
Contribute to the strategic vision and long-term roadmap for foundational AI systems at Capital One.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 4+ years of AI/ML development experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
4+ years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.).
Experience in designing and delivering AI services and technologies.
Familiarity with AI frameworks and algorithms, including LLM Inference and Similarity Search.
Knowledge of optimizing training and inference software for performance improvements.
A strong interest in staying current with advancements in AI research and applications.
