The Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team is essential in realizing our AI vision at Capital One. We join forces with our partners to push the boundaries of AI engineering and create impactful solutions that benefit millions. Our AI models aim to enhance products responsibly and at scale.
In this role, you will:
Collaborate with a diverse team including engineers, scientists, and product managers to transform how our associates and customers interact with Capital One.
Design, develop, and support AI software components, including foundation model training and large language model inference.
Utilize advanced AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, and PyTorch to enhance our AI capabilities.
Implement innovative optimization techniques to improve the performance of large-scale production AI systems.
Contribute to the strategic vision and roadmap of our foundational AI systems.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 4 years of experience in AI/ML, or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience.
4 years of programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
6 years of experience in deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms.
Proven experience in delivering AI services.
Familiarity with developing and optimizing AI algorithms using various programming languages.
A strong interest in applying novel AI techniques in production environments.
