Our client is seeking a
Senior AI Engineer
to join its
Platform and Innovation R&D team , helping design and build the next generation of
Supply Chain Intelligence solutions . This is a hands-on engineering role combining
software engineering, data engineering, AI/ML infrastructure, and platform architecture . The Senior AI Engineer will contribute across the design and development lifecycle for analytics and AI solutions used by the company’s customers. The role requires an experienced engineer who can work across multiple areas of the technology stack, from scalable Java-based services and data processing pipelines to AI infrastructure and web applications. You will collaborate closely with Engineering and Product Management to design solutions that can operate reliably at the scale required by a mission-critical SaaS platform. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with practical AI/ML and data infrastructure experience. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, solving complex problems, taking ownership, and collaborating across technical and product teams. Candidates must currently reside in Georgia. Relocation is not available for this position. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop
scalable, mission-critical applications
within a SaaS environment using Java and related technologies. Build capabilities supporting concurrent user activity, high-volume data processing, integrations and messaging, analytics, and generative AI. Design and develop
AI/ML data infrastructure
supporting model training, inference, and monitoring. Develop and support
real-time and batch data processing pipelines at scale . Contribute to the architecture and development of data models, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance practices. Develop back-end business logic, workflows, integrations, and data-processing capabilities. Contribute to front-end web development, including mobile-enabled experiences. Design and develop web services and APIs using technologies such as REST and SOAP. Apply object-oriented design principles, established design patterns, and multi-threaded client/server architectures. Work with vector databases, embeddings, and related technologies supporting AI applications. Build and support containerized, microservices-based applications using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to design, plan, and deliver new software capabilities. Use
AI-assisted development tools
as part of the software development process. Contribute to platform-level and architectural decisions supporting scalable software solutions. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience designing and developing Java web applications. 2+ years of experience working with AI/ML data infrastructure. Demonstrated experience in a
platform and/or software architecture role . Hands-on software development experience with
Java, Spring, and Hibernate . Strong understanding of
data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance . Experience designing or supporting
real-time and batch data-processing pipelines at scale . Understanding of the data requirements associated with
AI/ML model training, inference, and model monitoring . Familiarity with
vector databases and embedding systems
used in AI applications. Experience with
Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and containerized application environments . Experience developing and integrating
RESTful and SOAP web services . Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation methodologies, design patterns, and multi-threaded client/server architectures. Demonstrated use of
AI coding tools as part of software development . Ability to work effectively with engineering, product, and implementation teams. Self-directed approach to work with the ability to take ownership and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
