Senior AI Engineer | Columbus, Ohio, United States Senior AI Engineer - Columbus, OH (Onsite) Job Type: 1099 | Location: Columbus, OH, 43219 | No sponsorship available About the Role Join an innovative, fast-paced team as a Senior AI Engineer, driving hands-on development of AI-enabled applications, integrations, and event-driven solutions for a regulated, enterprise environment. You'll play a pivotal role in building scalable AI agents, leveraging prompt engineering, and deploying solutions on leading cloud platforms. Collaborate closely with governance, cloud, architecture, and innovation teams to deliver secure, high-impact projects. Responsibilities - Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI-enabled applications, APIs, and automation solutions. - Build and maintain agent workflows and implement prompt patterns for varied use cases. - Create prototypes and reusable components for scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. - Architect secure backend services, cloud APIs, and seamless integrations. - Develop event-driven flows using Pub/Sub and implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery. - Integrate with enterprise systems while ensuring robust security and compliance. - Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions rapidly. Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor's degree in a technical field. - 8-12 years' experience in software engineering. - Expertise in prompt engineering and AI model integration. - Proven track record in agentic AI development and testing. - Proficient in API development and integration. - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS), especially GCP Cloud Run. - Skilled in event-driven architecture (Pub/Sub) and CI/CD pipelines. - Programming proficiency in at least one: Java, Python, JavaScript. Preferred Skills - Strong full-stack development background (API, backend, UI). - Experience building AI-enabled applications in regulated environments. - Familiarity with GCP Vertex AI, Kubernetes, and cloud DevOps practices. - Ability to work independently and thrive in fast-paced settings. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
