This role ensures that applications, infrastructure, and operational components are correctly implemented, scalable, and aligned to business objectives. It involves directing AI coding agents to generate and refine technical artifacts, evaluating their correctness, and maintaining architectural integrity. The role emphasizes engineering judgment over manual coding, ensuring solutions are robust, observable, and capable of continuous improvement through AI-assisted practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead AI agents to generate backend APIs and client applications based on detailed specifications, ensuring solutions meet architectural standards and business rules. Direct AI to create and improve infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing assets, and observability configurations, reviewing outputs for security, operability, and maintainability. Critically evaluate AI-generated implementations to identify logical errors, architectural issues, unnecessary complexity, and operational gaps. Define validation methods, including automated tests, to guarantee quality and system coherence. Translate complex technical and business requirements into precise instructions, constraints, and validation mechanisms. Develop scalable, observable, and highly operable solutions that support ongoing AI-driven delivery enhancements. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including architecture, QA, SRE, and product teams, to ensure seamless integration and deployment. Maintain current knowledge of emerging agentic development methods and cloud deployment best practices, particularly related to Infrastructure as Code.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent field; a master's degree is preferred. Over 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, including application design, implementation, and support. Extensive experience in reviewing and validating complex code and artifacts against operational and business requirements. At least 7 years of experience with modern application development using C#/.NET and related backend technologies. Minimum of 5 years of experience with front-end frameworks such as React or similar technologies. Proven expertise in infrastructure as code, particularly with Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Azure Bicep. Significant experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Deep understanding of observability practices including structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts, and SLOs. Experience working with relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL database systems. At least 3 years of experience with containerized deployment environments such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. PREFERRED but not required: experience with event-driven architectures, message buses, Redis for coordination, legacy modernization, and related patterns. Strong ability to specify, assess, and leverage AI solutions using tools such as ChatGPT, Codex, or Copilot. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on translating complex requirements into technical guidance. Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, HashiCorp Terraform, or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
