REMOTE- AI Engineering Lead

Job Description An employer is looking for a AI Engineering Lead to sit remotely. The primary responsibility will be to lead engineering efforts from a hands on and managerial perspective for the enterprise AI team. This team builds and deploys AI and GenAI products into existing internal applications and SaaS platforms that the client has integrated. The goal of this role is to help mature the GenAI environment/ team/ offerings and continue to enhance the appetite of the business to implement these solutions into existing platforms. You will partner closely with senior engineers, business stakeholders, and contribute to building AI agents in databricks/ Azure AI Foundry. Additional tasks will include pioneering GenAI models, collaboration with application teams to identify opportunities to leverage GenAI, and to develop, program, train the complex networks of algorithms. This will have a heavy focus on Azure products/ services including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Function Apps and Azure API management.

Skills and Requirements 5-7+ years of experience within AI engineering and architecture2+ years of experience developing Gen AI products2+ years leading teams and initiativesStrong background with Microsoft Azure Cloud EnvironmentExtensive experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Function Apps and Azure API ManagementExpert level python development skillsProven background in building/ deploying AI solutions/ agents and showcasing ROIStrong experience working with SQLDatabricks experience
