Red Hat . Red Hat's Office of the CTO is looking for a full-time AI Engineer. You will join an AI engineering team whose mandate is to improve the performance, safety and reliability of AI enabled applications in both greenfield and brownfield projects. You will collaborate with other engineering teams at Red Hat to develop new features and components, and improve the capabilities of existing intelligent systems. The ideal candidate is energized by working concurrently on a wide variety of projects, independently as well as within a team environment. What You Will Do Provide technical leadership and engineering to improve the performance, safety, and reliability of AI based intelligent applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration within the software development lifecycle, driving continuous improvement and innovation in engineering practices; share use cases for successful experiments with stakeholders for broader use. Design and conduct experiments to understand the behavior of AI models and their surrounding application systems. Apply a data driven approach to application or system changes, including large-scale performance benchmarking. Work with applications in cloud native settings, including Kubernetes and containerized deployments. Communicate about projects, AI and data science technologies with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders. Publicize innovations through blogs, presentations, conferences and other technical venues. Participate in upstream AI and data science project communities. Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development, proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into existing workflows and tooling. What You Will Bring Minimum of 10 years of experience. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. AI/ML-related course work or independent project work with evidence of completion. Advanced programming skills in Python. Ability to work with Cloud Native technologies and platforms, including Kubernetes and containers. Understanding of systems design and architecture, as it applies to AI enabled applications. Strong self-motivation and organizational skills. Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects, independently and within a team environment. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative attitude and willingness to share ideas openly. The Following Is Considered a Plus Experience with Linux (e.g. RHEL, Ubuntu, etc.). Familiarity with Kubernetes and containers. Passion for developing open source software. Experience with open source AI/ML models and frameworks Salary and Benefits The salary range for this position is $170,770.00 - $281,770.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
