We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our AI Platforms and Services Engineering team, a group at the forefront of delivering innovative AI solutions across the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of AI Platforms and Services, you will be responsible for guiding and developing engineering teams specializing in software engineering, machine learning engineering, and infrastructure engineering. Your leadership will drive the technical design and execution of product offerings, including Gen AI applications utilizing RAG and scaling AI Agents for widespread deployment. You will translate the product roadmap into detailed technical specifications, prioritize engineering tasks based on business value, and identify opportunities to enhance product capabilities in collaboration with Product Managers. The AI Platforms and Services team builds foundational infrastructure and reusable components that empower teams to rapidly develop and deploy AI-powered solutions at scale, impacting operations and product innovation. You will drive business strategy through AI, accelerate time-to-market, and minimize risk across the enterprise while championing agile and lean practices. Responsibilities

Perform management duties including hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management, and staff productivity. Direct and control day-to-day operations; develop and implement policies and programs; may have budgetary responsibility and authority. Understand budget and resource utilization across product teams; escalate issues regarding product delivery budgets and review action plans with product owners. Provide oversight of all aspects of the application product life cycle to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement of processes. Contribute thought leadership and industry expertise to strategic planning and execution for current and future products. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization by preparing presentations and reports. Coach and mentor all members of the organization. Define and create the roadmap and support the team in the delivery. Take ownership of critical impediments that scrum teams are not able to resolve. Other duties as assigned or requested. Education

Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field OR 6 years progressive and related software engineering experience in lieu of Bachelor degree Preferred Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field Experience

Required 10 years of working with information technology 5 years in developing, presenting and communicating technical concepts to varying audiences, including 3 years experience in developing long term roadmaps 3 years in developing tactical solutions to diverse and complex business problems, including working with a variety of technology systems designing solutions or developing applications in healthcare 3 years of management experience Preferred Proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams, including machine learning engineering and infrastructure engineering, in an Agile or Lean development environment. Experience in platform engineering and full-stack software development, focusing on building scalable and reliable AI services and applications. Strong working knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), with experience in designing and deploying AI solutions in a cloud-native environment. Ability to translate product roadmaps and business requirements into detailed technical specifications and engineering tasks. Experience with MLOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, model deployment, monitoring, and governance. Familiarity with AI as a Service (AIaaS) offerings and experience in building or integrating with AI service platforms. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality AI solutions. Experience in managing vendor relationships and overseeing outsourced software development projects. Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and best practices, including testing, security, and documentation. Experience in implementing and promoting software development and operational excellence through Agile and Lean practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of engineers. Licenses or Certifications
