To lead strategic AI initiatives, the remote Manager, Applied AI Engineering will manage a team of AI-native engineers while also contributing technically to the design and implementation of scalable AI-powered applications.
Key responsibilities
Operate as both a people manager and a hands-on tech lead, addressing complex technical challenges as needed Design, build, and maintain production-grade AI systems and manage the team's AI token and compute budget for cost efficiency Facilitate career development through mentorship and training opportunities for team members
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role Strong hands-on experience with full software stack technologies, including frontend (Angular/React) and backend (Python, Node.js) Experience developing scalable AI solutions using LLM frameworks and AI services Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern development methodologies
