Lead AI Engineer

We are seeking a Lead AI Engineer with a proven track record of designing sophisticated AI systems and the leadership maturity to guide a high-performing technical team. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of architectural design, hands-on development, and strategic mentorship. This is a hybrid role based in either Barcelona or Austin. Core Responsibilities Technical Leadership:

Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions. Team Mentorship:

Manage and mentor a team of 2–4 AI engineers, conducting code reviews, providing architectural guidance, and facilitating professional development. System Architecture:

Oversee the transition from experimental notebooks to production-grade services, ensuring high availability and low latency. R&D:

Stay at the forefront of AI research, evaluating and prototyping new techniques (e.g., RAG, fine-tuning, quantization) to maintain a competitive edge. Required Qualifications Experience:

5+ years in AI/ML - Software Engineering, with at least 2 years in a formal or informal leadership/lead role. Education:

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience). Programming:

Mastery of Python and deep familiarity with frameworks like LangChain. Architecture:

Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus) and API design (FastAPI/Flask). Soft Skills:

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills Experience with Generative AI and LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex). Experience managing agile workflows. Why Join Us?
