Mission As a Lead AI Engineer at 3F Venture, you will take ownership of the technology stack and roadmap for our AI-powered legal assistant platform. Starting as a key employee, you will lead the development of our MVP with enterprise-grade security and scalability. Based on your performance and contributions, you will have the opportunity to become a Co-Founder, shaping the company’s vision and future.
Initial Role and Responsibilities
Technology Implementation: Execute architectural decisions and stack setup, balancing speed and long-term reliability.
LLM / RAG Development: Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, optimize and fine-tune LLMs.
Data Processing and ETL: Build and manage the data ingestion pipeline: PDFs/Word/scans → OCR → parsing → vectorization
DevOps and SecOps: Set up CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and monitoring; implement security best practices (encryption, access control, auditing).
Team Collaboration: Work with a small engineering team (1–2 week sprints) and participate in hiring and mentoring as the team grows.
Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize costs for storage, GPU compute, and cloud services.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role (e.g., Tech Lead, Engineering Manager).
Advanced Python skills and hands-on experience with RAG frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
Experience deploying LLMs (OpenAI, Llama 3, Mistral) in production, including finetuning and optimization (LoRA/QLoRA, quantization, vLLM).
Proficiency in building ETL pipelines for unstructured documents and experience with OCR (Tesseract, PaddleOCR).
Knowledge of vector databases (Qdrant, Milvus, Pinecone) and search engines (Elastic/OpenSearch); understanding of hybrid retrieval.
Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker + Kubernetes or equivalent).
Proven track record of implementing security and compliance measures (encryption, RBAC/ABAC, GDPR, ISO-27001).
Fluency in English (B2+).
