The Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team is central to realizing our AI vision at Capital One. We collaborate closely with partners across the organization to advance the state of AI science and engineering, develop proprietary solutions, and create significant value for millions of customers. Our AI models and platforms empower teams to enhance their products in responsible and scalable ways.
In this role, you will:
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver innovative AI products that enhance workflows and customer interactions.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support advanced AI software components including foundation model training and large language model inference.
Utilize a diverse stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch.
Innovate state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to enhance scalability, cost-efficiency, latency, and throughput of large-scale AI applications.
Contribute to the technical vision and long-term strategy for foundational AI systems at Capital One.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus 3 years of experience, or a Master's degree in the same fields plus 1 year of experience in AI and ML technologies.
At least 3 years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
4 years of experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Experience in developing and supporting AI services.
Proficiency in implementing AI algorithms such as LLM inference and similarity search using various programming languages.
Expertise in optimizing training and inference software to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
