A healthcare technology organization is seeking a Staff/Lead Software Engineer to help launch a new AI-enabled platform focused on revenue cycle management, claims workflows, and healthcare operations. This is a hybrid full-time opportunity with remote flexibility available for professionals located in the Chicago area. The organization is investing heavily in the next generation of AI-powered healthcare software and is searching for a senior engineering leader who can act as the technical anchor for a new platform. The ideal candidate enjoys owning outcomes, partnering closely with users and business stakeholders, and influencing both product strategy and technical direction.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience leading architecture and technical direction
Strong Python development experience
JavaScript and/or TypeScript expertise
Experience developing RESTful APIs and distributed systemsEvent-driven architecture experience
Strong database design and SQL skills
AWS cloud platform experience
Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders and product teams
Strong communication and mentorship capabilities
Desired Skills & Experience
Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience
Healthcare, HIPAA, EMR, or EHR experience
Claims processing knowledge
Eligibility, denials, collections, or A/R workflow experience
