Title: Lead AI EngineerDepartment: Tarpon ServicesReports to: VP of DeliveryCompensation: Competitive pay, unlimited PTO, bonus, benefit stipendLocation: RemoteKey Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end AI workflows, from data ingestion and pipeline building to production deployment.Integrate generative AI tools (e.g. agents, RAGs, APIs, automation platforms) into existing systems, enabling them to take action based on healthcare data outputs.Decompose complex queries and leverage different models for different use cases, ensuring the right tool is applied to each problem.Monitor, evaluate, and optimize model performance to maintain reliability and accuracy in production systems.Partner closely with provider IT teams to align AI solutions with clinical and operational environments.Provide technical oversight to engineering teams reviewing solution quality, managing escalations, and guiding implementation best practices.Act as both a hands-on engineer and strategic advisor, helping shape AI adoption strategies for healthcare organizations.Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate AI capabilities and drive adoption. Required Qualifications:Engineering degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Data Science.7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 23 years in a leadership role providing technical oversight and direction.Minimum of 1 year experience deploying AI or ML solutions in production environments.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.Skilled in AI frameworks, including TensorFlow, Keras, Langchain, and LlamaIndex.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP)Knowledge of big data tools (e.g. Spark, Hadoop) Strong understanding of data pipelines, APIs, and system integration.Healthcare and/or revenue cycle experience strongly preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to advocate across teams, engage with clients, and build trust.Energetic, adaptable, and comfortable working in evolving environments with shifting priorities. Title: Lead AI EngineerDepartment: Tarpon ServicesReports to: VP of DeliveryCompensation: Competitive pay, unlimited PTO, bonus, benefit stipendLocation: RemoteNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
