Junior AI Engineer
Optomi, in partnership with a leading technology innovator, is seeking a Junior AI Engineer for an exciting opportunity in Jersey City, NJ! This role is ideal for a software engineer with a strong Python development background and hands-on experience building LLM applications, including prompting, tool calling, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). The right candidate will work on innovative projects involving embeddings, vector search, and retrieval pipelines while leveraging OpenTelemetry to enhance application observability. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with emerging AI technologies while contributing to impactful projects!
The opportunity to work on innovative projects involving LLM applications and emerging AI technologies! Collaborating with a dynamic team on cutting-edge machine learning and data retrieval projects! Hands-on experience developing and optimizing retrieval pipelines, embeddings, and vector search! A 6-month contract opportunity with a strong likelihood of extension!
3+ years of experience in software development. ~ Proficiency in Python. ~ Experience with LLM applications (prompting, tool calling, RAG). ~ Familiarity with retrieval pipelines and evaluations. ~ Develop and optimize retrieval pipelines.
