Plastik AI is harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to build a Generative Engineering Marketplace to revolutionize the plastic industry. We are looking for a skilled Head of AI Engineering to define the AI strategy, experimentation, optimization, and productionization of AI tools to enable rapid user and revenue growth. Our product combines novel AI-driven agents and tools with a unique user experience, enabling effortless selection, sourcing, and procurement of plastics. Building a two-sided marketplace requires advanced data models across material properties, predictions, pricing, and logistics. You will work to develop a world-class AI team, refine AI strategies, and build reliable and scalable workflows that protect our growing ML asset. A key focus will be to prioritize developments that accelerate features that set our platform apart. We believe our transformative approach unlocks new possibilities in plastics innovation, enabling faster, smarter, and more efficient product development and material discovery to build a more sustainable world. As part of our cross-disciplinary team, you will work alongside MIT-trained engineers, scientists, and business professionals to build a groundbreaking AI platform for the plastics industry. Product vision – work with customers, the executive team, and stakeholders to refine the purpose, target audience, and long-term goals of AI-powered products. Experiment management – build and maintain a data science and AI workflow that effectively grows our organizational knowledge through KPI-driven workflows. Architect and optimize AI systems – continuously improve the performance (accuracy, speed, and cost) of our agentic AI system architecture and infrastructure for data science, engineering, and ML training efforts. Product management and leadership – build, lead and mentor cross-functional teams to launch new data-driven and AI-enabled tools that enhance the customer user experience within the Plastics AI platform. Data & Analytics – develop dashboards, automate reports, and provide insights for data-driven decision-making and product performance monitoring. Ethics & compliance – ensure AI systems comply with relevant ethical, privacy, and regulatory standards. Own AI performance metrics and ROI, regularly reporting progress and results to the executive team and board. Qualifications

Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience as a Senior Manager or Technical Lead. Experience managing KPI-driven experimentation workflows. Strong leadership and project management skills; excellent communication and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Experience using Agile methods for implementation and feature definition (e.g., Jira). What We Offer
