Head of Applied AI Engineering

Leading the technical execution and delivery of agentic AI applications, the remote Head of Applied AI Engineering will manage deployment squads across healthcare, pharma, and wellness sectors, ensuring successful integration and expansion of AI solutions. Key Responsibilities

Build, hire, and mentor a high-performing organization of Applied AI Engineers while owning department performance and technical best practices Manage the technical success of AI deployments, ensuring HIPAA compliance and integration with client systems Act as the primary technical executive for strategic enterprise accounts, translating business workflows into AI configurations

Required Qualifications

10+ years in hands-on engineering and delivery leadership in high-stakes environments Strong backend and data foundation with experience in APIs, real-time services, and scalable data pipelines Technical degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Experience with real-time and distributed systems, including event-driven architectures Significant startup experience, contributing as a founding member or in early-stage roles
