Group Manager, AI Strategy & Innovation

Adobe's Growth Marketing & Insights (GMI) organization is rebuilding how marketing teams operate

not by layering AI tools on top of existing workflows, but by replacing them. The AI Strategy & Innovation (AISI) team is at the center of that work, and this Group Manager role exists to lead the people doing it. You'll manage a team of 68 Forward-Deployed AI Engineers embedded across GMI's paid media, lifecycle marketing, data science, and marketing analytics functions. Your job is to make them effective! You'll identify the highest priority work, clear obstacles, raise the quality of what they build, connect the dots across functions, and ensure the patterns that work in one team spread to the others. You're not the one building agents day-to-day. You're the one making sure the people who do have what they need to move fast and build things that stick. You'll also be a key part of how AISI grows. You'll partner on hiring, develop the team's capabilities, and help establish the playbook for what good forward-deployed AI work looks like at Adobe. What You Bring

Deep enough AI knowledge to lead a technical team. You don't need to be writing production agents, but you must speak the language fluently: agentic systems, RAG, LLM evaluation, tool orchestration. Your team will bring you real problems and you need to engage with them substantively, not just manage around the edges. Comfortable in a growth marketing organization. You understand the ways in which marketing teams think, what they're measured on, and how to earn their trust. You've worked alongside marketers or in a marketing function and you know the difference between a tool that gets adopted and one that gets abandoned. A strong communicator up and down the org. You can present to a VP without losing the substance, and you can give an FDE direct, useful feedback without demoralizing them. You move comfortably between both modes. Minimum Requirements

3+ years managing people in AI, data science, machine learning, or a closely related technical field Strong working knowledge of modern AI concepts: agentic systems, knowledge graphs, RAG, context window management, tool use, etc. sufficient to engage substantively with your team's work Experience with a marketing or marketing technology organization, with a genuine understanding of how various marketing functions operate Demonstrated ability to develop people, with evidence that engineers or analysts you've managed grew in capability and impact Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience translating technical AI concepts for VP-level or executive audiences Proven ability to coordinate across multiple functions and collaborators simultaneously Active user of AI tools and platforms in your own work! Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a forward-deployed, embedded, or solutions engineering model where you had to earn trust quickly and deliver value in someone else's environment Background in building or scaling internal AI programs, centers of excellence, or enablement functions Familiarity with martech ecosystems: CDPs, marketing automation, analytics platforms, campaign management tools Experience partnering on recruiting and team-building, not just inheriting a team About Adobe Adobe empowers everyone to create through innovative platforms and tools that unleash creativity, productivity and personalized customer experiences.
