We are looking for a technical, process-driven Fraud Operations Automation Engineer to build the automated workflow solutions that powers our fraud response. This role is focused on transforming our manual operational processes into streamlined, automated workflows. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying solutions that reduce manual case handling, improve response times, and increase the overall efficiency and scalability of our Fraud Operations team. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong development skills in Python and SQL who excels at understanding operational needs and translating them into robust, automated solutions.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities):

Partner directly with the Fraud Operations team to identify bottlenecks, pain points, and opportunities for automation within their existing workflows (e.g., case creation, data gathering, actioning).

Design, build, and maintain automation scripts, tools, and workflows using Python, SQL, and other developmental tools to handle fraud cases and related operational tasks.

Own the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for your automation projects—from gathering requirements and documentation to coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support using tools like Git/GitHub.

Develop and implement logic for automated case routing, prioritization, and resolution based on defined business rules and policies.

Build and manage the core data tables and queries required to support operational workflows and performance reporting.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing automation systems to ensure they remain effective and adapt to changing business needs and fraud trends.

Simulate the impact of new rules and process changes on operational capacity, case volume, and agent productivity.

Collaborate with Engineering and Analytics teams to ensure data sources are available and reliable for operational automation needs.

Our Ideal Candidate (Qualifications):

Experience: Requires 5+ years of prior experience in a role focused on process automation, business systems development, or a similar technical function.

Strong programming proficiency in Python for scripting and workflow automation.

Advanced SQL skills for data querying, transformation, and management.

Hands-on experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and version control systems like Git/GitHub.

Proven experience analyzing and re-engineering process for automation and efficiency.

Experience in Financial Services or FinTech industry is a plus

Deep understanding of fraud operations processes, including case management systems, and operational queues is a plus
