We are seeking a highly experienced AI engineer with a strong background in generative models and agentic AI, with over a decade of expertise. The ideal candidate will lead the development of autonomous, goal-driven AI agents designed to operate independently, adaptively, and safely within Google''s ecosystem.
The Role
Responsibilities
Develop and optimize advanced generative models (e.g., large language models) that serve as the core of autonomous, agentic systems.
Design algorithms enabling reasoning, decision-making, and goal management in AI agents.
Research and integrate novel approaches in agent autonomy, multi-agent coordination, and reinforcement learning.
Architect scalable pipelines for training, fine-tuning, and deploying agentic AI models on Google Cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate high-level requirements into innovative AI solutions.
Monitor and improve the performance, robustness, and safety of deployed autonomous agents.
Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of innovation.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in AI, ML, or related fields with demonstrated expertise in generative AI and autonomous systems.
Deep knowledge of large language models, reinforcement learning, and agent-based architectures.
Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, Google Cloud AI tools, or similar frameworks.
Strong programming skills in Python, C++, Java, or equivalent.
Familiarity with AI safety, ethical considerations, and alignment in autonomous agents.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred, but not required:
Publications, patents, or open-source contributions in agentic AI or related domains.
Experience with multi-modal AI, dynamic knowledge bases, or human-AI interaction.
