Role : Distinguished AI Engineer for LinkedIn's Talent Marketplace. This role defines and drives the next generation of AI systems powering the Talent Marketplace, shaping technical vision, strategy, and architecture for one of the world’s largest and most trusted marketplaces.
Location & Work Model : Sunnyvale, CA. Hybrid work arrangement: work from home and LinkedIn office on select days as determined by business needs.
Responsibilities
Set the multi-year technical vision and strategy for AI across the Talent Marketplace, spanning job and candidate search, recommendations, and marketplace optimization.
Invent and scale agentic AI systems that drive trust, efficiency, and business growth.
Uplift the technical bar across LinkedIn by mentoring senior technical leaders and guiding cross-organizational initiatives.
Shape platform evolution and infrastructure to meet billion-member scale, collaborating with Core AI and Infrastructure teams.
Influence company-wide and industry direction by publishing, open-sourcing, and representing LinkedIn in the broader AI community with production-proven innovations.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
– 10+ years of work experience in machine learning/AI; 6+ years of technical leadership experience; B.A./B.S. degree or higher in a relevant field (machine learning, statistics, computer science) or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
– PhD in a relevant field or related discipline or equivalent research experience; strong academic credentials with publications in top-tier venues; experience designing and implementing AI systems at scale to solve complex business problems; experience leading and mentoring engineering and operations talent; experience leading high-impact cross-company initiatives.

Actual compensation is based on factors including skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and location.
