Build the future of AI-driven software development
At LoginID, we're solving one of the biggest trust challenges in the emerging agentic economy. When AI agents shop, transact, or make decisions on behalf of people, businesses need confidence that a real, verified human is behind every action. LoginID provides that trust layer through identity verification, authentication, and cryptographically signed intent.
Our platform supports some of the largest payments and identity networks in North America and operates across a highly secure, distributed infrastructure built on Kubernetes, CockroachDB, Vault, and modern identity standards including OAuth, OIDC, and FIDO2.
We're now taking the next step.
Instead of simply using AI tools to help engineers write code, we're transforming how software gets built. Our goal is an AI-native software factory where specifications become production-ready code through automated, auditable, and secure workflows. We're looking for an engineering leader who has already helped a development organization make this transition and knows what it takes to make it successful.
What You'll Do As our engineering leader, you'll report directly to the CEO and lead a team of approximately 12 engineers across platform, infrastructure, SDKs, and frontend development. You'll be responsible for shaping both the technical architecture and the engineering culture as we move toward AI-driven software delivery.
Key areas of ownership include: Defining the architecture of a highly secure, multi-region identity platform Designing an AI-native software development lifecycle from specification through deployment Establishing code quality, review, testing, auditing, and governance standards for AI-generated code Evaluating and implementing agentic development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and emerging AI platforms Coaching engineers to operate at a higher level of abstraction through specification, architecture, review, and product definition Creating systems that increase delivery velocity while maintaining security and reliability Leading through change and helping engineers successfully adapt to new ways of working Building a culture of ownership, accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement
What Success Looks Like In your first year, you'll help LoginID: Transition from traditional software development workflows to an AI-native engineering model Create scalable processes for generating, reviewing, and shipping production-ready code Improve engineering velocity without sacrificing quality, compliance, or security Establish the technical foundation needed to support rapid company growth Develop engineers into stronger architects, reviewers, and technical decision makers
What We're Looking For Required Experience Experience leading a software engineering organization through a transition from traditional development practices to AI-driven software development Deep software architecture expertise, including distributed systems, service boundaries, scalability, and long-term system design Hands-on experience with AI coding and orchestration tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar platforms Engineering leadership experience including hiring, coaching, mentoring, and organizational development Strong technical judgment and the ability to evaluate AI-generated output with a high standard for quality and correctness Experience operating in fast-paced environments with ambitious delivery goals
Preferred Experience Startup experience, particularly Seed or Series A environments Background in security, identity, authentication, cryptography, or payments Experience with Kubernetes and large-scale distributed infrastructure Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), WebAuthn, and FIDO2 standards Experience working in regulated or compliance-focused environments
Who Thrives Here The people who succeed at LoginID are builders. They're energized by difficult problems, comfortable operating with ambiguity, and motivated by creating something new. They don't wait for direction when they see an opportunity to improve a system. They lead from the front, embrace accountability, and aren't afraid to challenge conventional thinking.
This is a startup environment. The pace is fast, priorities evolve, and the work is meaningful. If you're excited about transforming software engineering through AI and want to help define what great looks like, we'd love to talk.
