Artificial Intelligence Engineer (St. Petersburg)

AI Engineer St. Petersburg, FL (Onsite) Pay Range: $60-75/hr

Design, build, and optimize prompts, Agents, and custom GPTs that power real business workflows. This role owns prompt strategy end-to-end—creating reusable prompt libraries, enabling API-driven integrations (connecting AI to systems and data), and improving output quality at scale. You will work hands-on with tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude to deliver practical solutions, support users directly, and turn AI capabilities into measurable productivity gains.

Responsibilities Strong experience with LLMs (large language models: AI systems that generate text) such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot Advanced prompt engineering (designing inputs to control AI outputs) and prompt optimization Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Copilot) Proficiency in Power BI (data visualization and reporting) Familiarity with workflow and automation tools (e.g., APIs, agents, or orchestration frameworks)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Work Experience 4–8 years of experience in AI/ML, NLP (natural language processing: systems that understand language), or applied automation At least 2+ years working directly with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI copilots Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus
