Agentic AI Automation Engineer , you will be a foundational member of our new SRE-focused team, responsible for designing and delivering intelligent automation that improves system resilience, reduces operational toil, and accelerates incident response. This role centers on building
agentic AI solutions
that can proactively observe system behavior, reason over signals, recommend or execute actions, and continuously improve operational workflows.
You will help evolve traditional automation into
autonomous and semi-autonomous operational workflows
that detect, diagnose, and remediate issues before they impact our members. By combining observability platforms like Dynatrace, modern APIs, scripting, and AI-enabled orchestration patterns, you will create closed-loop solutions that enhance reliability at scale.
Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.
Key Responsibilities
Identify high-value opportunities to apply
agentic AI and intelligent automation
across operational processes, incident management, diagnostics, and service health monitoring.
Design, build, and maintain
AI-enabled automation workflows, agents, and orchestration services
that support proactive system management and self-healing capabilities.
Leverage telemetry, event streams, APIs, and integrations from platforms such as
Dynatrace
to create
context-aware, event-driven automation .
Develop solutions that automate
issue detection, root cause investigation, remediation of common failure patterns, and system health validation .
Build workflows that can combine
observability data, runbooks, historical incident patterns, and operational context
to support intelligent decision-making.
Partner with SREs, platform teams, and application teams to embed
agentic automation
into day-to-day operations and reliability practices.
Define guardrails, approvals, and governance patterns for safe use of
AI-driven and autonomous remediation
in production environments.
Document automation designs, usage patterns, and operational controls, and help upskill team members on agentic AI capabilities and best practices.

5+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, automation engineering, or a related technical role.
Strong proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as
Python, PowerShell, Go, or JavaScript .
Experience building automation using frameworks and tools such as
Ansible, Terraform, Rundeck , or similar platforms.
Hands-on experience with
REST APIs, system integrations, and event-driven architectures .
Experience working in a cloud environment such as
Azure, AWS, or GCP .
Demonstrated ability to design automation that improves reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
AIOps, observability, and telemetry platforms , with
Dynatrace strongly preferred .
Background in
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or platform operations .
Familiarity with
CI/CD pipelines and tools
such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
Experience developing or integrating
agentic AI, LLM-based workflows, AI copilots, or autonomous operational tooling .
Familiarity with concepts such as
tool-using agents, retrieval-augmented workflows, reasoning over operational data, human-in-the-loop approvals, and closed-loop remediation .
Experience applying AI responsibly in enterprise environments, including
governance, observability, and safety controls
for automated actions.
Role Impact
In this role, you will help shape the next generation of operational excellence by moving beyond static automation toward
intelligent, agentic systems
