Position Overview

As Senior AI Enablement Engineer, you'll lead the technical adoption of AI coding assistants across your engineering teams whilst managing a team of 3-5 engineers. Your role sits at the intersection of technical leadership and organisational change, helping senior and junior engineers overcome hesitation around AI tools, build practical proficiency, and integrate AI-forward practices into their daily development work. You'll conduct workshops, facilitate pair programming sessions, and run AI Office Hours to support engineers working on complex refactoring and architectural design challenges. Your impact directly influences how effectively the organisation leverages AI to improve delivery speed and quality across mission-critical financial systems.

Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of 3-5 software engineers, establishing best practices for AI-assisted development workflows Design and deliver workshops and training sessions that build team confidence and capability in using AI coding assistants Facilitate pair programming sessions and AI Office Hours to help engineers apply AI tools to complex refactoring and architectural challenges Demonstrate prompt engineering techniques for high-scale production environments and share practical knowledge across teams Guide the integration of AI-forward processes into the software development lifecycle Model continuous learning and intellectual curiosity, encouraging your team to experiment and share learnings Collaborate with senior leadership to identify where AI adoption creates most value for client projects

Requirements

5+ years of professional software development experience across multiple projects and environments 2+ years hands-on experience using AI coding assistants in high-scale production environments Demonstrated expertise in prompt engineering for complex refactoring and architectural design work 2+ years of people leadership or mentoring experience Experience integrating AI-forward practices into software development lifecycle processes Strong communication skills with ability to teach technical concepts clearly to engineers at different levels Experience with financial services or investment management (helpful but not essential) Experience with Co-Pilot / Blitzy useful but not essential
