Applied AI Engineer
We are seeking an exceptional Applied AI Engineer with strong software engineering expertise and hands-on experience building AI agents, agentic systems, and AI-powered applications. This role will focus on developing innovative AI solutions that address complex, real-world business needs and improve efficiency, analytics, and decision-making. The ideal candidate will be highly technical, entrepreneurial, and comfortable taking AI projects from initial concept and rapid prototyping through production deployment. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal teams and end users to design and build bespoke AI agents and user-facing AI applications tailored to business requirements. Lead and contribute to greenfield AI initiatives, taking ownership from concept through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement. Develop AI coding agents and developer tools that improve software development workflows and engineering productivity. Rapidly prototype, evaluate, and integrate emerging AI models, tools, and technologies into production applications. Develop best practices, reusable frameworks, and components to support the broader adoption of AI solutions. Build foundational AI capabilities, including agent frameworks, reusable AI skills, tool integrations, memory systems, and large-scale retrieval systems. Design and maintain scalable AI infrastructure and agentic applications. Integrate data and enterprise systems to support AI-powered applications and workflows. Evaluate the performance, usability, reliability, and scalability of AI systems and continuously improve their effectiveness. Work in a fast-paced environment where experimentation, iteration, and rapid delivery are essential. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent practical experience. Extensive software development experience with strong hands-on programming skills. Proven experience building, deploying, and scaling AI-powered products, systems, or applications. Deep practical experience with AI agents and agentic systems, including orchestration, tool use, memory, and multi-step reasoning. Strong understanding of modern AI technologies, including large language models and AI application development. Experience working with AI/agent frameworks and integrating models, tools, APIs, and data sources. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges. Ability to rapidly prototype ideas, experiment with emerging technologies, and transition successful concepts into production. Demonstrated ability to independently lead technical projects from inception through deployment. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Track record of strong academic, professional, technical, or entrepreneurial achievement. Preferred Qualifications
Experience building production-grade agentic applications or AI platforms. Experience developing AI developer tools or coding agents. Experience designing reusable AI frameworks, skills, and infrastructure. Experience with large-scale retrieval systems and enterprise data integration. Experience evaluating and improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of AI systems. Strong interest in emerging AI technologies and the ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and techniques.
