Role: AI Engineering Lead

Job Description:
Lead the design and development of AI solutions, driving innovation and technical excellence from concept through implementation. Guide the build of advanced ML/LLM applications, ensuring high performance, quality, and safety. Partner closely with cross-functional teams to translate business priorities across AI plays into scalable AI products. Mentor and direct a small, high-performing engineering team to deliver impact quickly and reliably.

Optimize performance of AI models
Collaborate cross-functionally
Stay updated with research & innovation
Drive architecture and prototyping of LLM applications
Stand up data ingestions, managing integration with wider Catalyst systems
Own delivery of use cases
Implement quality and safety framework

Reports to Head of AI
Leads 2-6 engineers per development pod
Requirements:
Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
Proficiency in agentic frameworks
Extensive experience in designing and implementing AI models
Strong programming skills, e.g., Python/TypeScript
