AI Engineer (Remote)

Applied AI Engineer NYC, hybrid Were partnered with a leading quantitative investment and technology firm that is building out a new generation of AI-powered tooling and looking to hire an AI Engineer to help drive the initiative.

This is a highly hands-on role focused on identifying real business problems and building AI-driven solutions that improve how engineers, researchers, and domain experts work. Rather than conducting pure AI research, youll design and deploy production-grade systems that leverage modern LLMs, agents, and workflow automation to create measurable impact. Workflow automation and AI-powered productivity tools

RAG applications and retrieval systems

LLM integrations and business-facing AI solutions

Developer tooling and internal platforms

End-to-end AI product development from concept to production BS or higher from a top-tier academic institution in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

Strong software engineering fundamentals

Expert-level Python development experience

Experience building and deploying AI applications in production

Hands-on work with agents, LangGraph, LangChain, MCP, RAG, or similar frameworks

Ability to operate independently and take ownership of projects from idea to delivery

AI startups, fronier AI labs, or top AI tech teams

Developer productivity platforms

AI platform and infrastructure teams

Enterprise AI product teams
