Backed by a major global technology group, this is an opportunity to own production AI systems from architecture through to deployment. As a Senior AI Engineer, you'll build the conversational intelligence behind a product that understands user preferences, retrieves relevant information and takes real-world actions. You'll own agent orchestration, tool calling, conversational memory and multi-step reasoning.
We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer with: ~4+ years in backend or full-stack engineering with hands-on LLM product development. ~ Experience shipping LLM-powered ranking, retrieval or recommendation systems into production. ~ A background building consumer-facing (B2C) products is essential - not just internal tools or enterprise applications. ~ Strong applied AI experience across prompting, embeddings, RAG, agent memory and personalisation. ~ Practical experience building evaluation frameworks and debugging ranking or retrieval failures in production. ~ Experience with TypeScript or Python and AI-assisted development workflows. ~ The ability to move quickly, make architectural decisions and take ownership without layers of management.
This Senior AI Engineer position suits someone from either a high-growth startup or product-led technology company who enjoys building and shipping rather than researching models.
