This exciting opportunity begins as a 1-year W2 contract offering competitive benefits and the potential to extend or convert to permanent employment. The job requires a hybrid schedule (3 days per week) at their HQ location in Charolotte, NC.
Responsibilities
Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions to streamline and modernize manual workflows Develop and orchestrate agent-based systems leveraging existing AI frameworks and models Assess AI solution performance, identifying reliability, accuracy, and security improvements Apply best practices to the deployment of AI technology within enterprise production environments Work closely with other software engineers to deliver scalable, collaborative solutions Rapidly prototype and present innovative demos and solutions for business stakeholders Contribute to technical architecture planning, migration projects, and ongoing evolution of enterprise platforms Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance and security standards are met across all stages of development
Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in Java and Python (minimum 2 years Python development) 1+ years' knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and/or agentic workflows in generative AI applications Deep familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control, and DevOps pipelines Proven expertise building agentic AI solutions using frameworks such as Agent Development Kit (ADK), LangChain, or similar tools Experience with cloud-native development or application migration in multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP, OpenShift preferred) Background in regulated or financial sectors is a strong plus, particularly with risk, compliance, or cybersecurity Exposure to MLOps or LLMOps practices, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows Proficiency in collaborating within agile, team-based environments Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and to present innovative demos to stakeholders Mission-driven attitude and ability to balance technical excellence with rapid business innovation
