Role Title: Senior Engineer – AI Software Engineering Enablement (Cursor & Claude Code)
Role Summary: The AI Software Engineering Lead is a hands-on practitioner responsible for launching and stabilizing a small pilot using Cursor IDE and Claude Code to improve software engineering productivity and quality. Success means moving quickly from experimentation to working patterns, establishing foundations, frameworks, and guardrails, enabling teams to adopt AI safely, and delivering practical playbooks that can be scaled beyond the pilot.
Key Responsibilities:
Pilot Execution (Hands-on)
Lead and execute a focused pilot using Cursor and Claude Code within active engineering workflows.
Apply AI for code generation, refactoring, testing, reviews, and documentation.
Work closely with TCS and client engineers to demonstrate real, repeatable value.
AI Engineering Foundations & Guardrails
Define AI-in-software-engineering standards, usage patterns, and guardrails.
Establish prompting patterns, validation approaches, and responsible-use boundaries.
MCP Server Setup & Integration
Set up and configure MCP servers for Claude Code.
Enable secure, context-aware access to code, APIs, and documentation.
Guide teams on when and how MCP should be used.
Playbooks & Enablement
Create lightweight playbooks covering setup, best practices, do's/don'ts, and common workflows.
Conduct working sessions to upskill teams and accelerate self-sufficiency.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Core Skills
Senior software engineer with strong hands-on coding experience.
Practical experience using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or similar).
Experience with MCP servers or equivalent context-injection mechanisms.
Comfortable operating in fast-moving pilot environments.
Nice-to-Have
Experience creating engineering playbooks or internal standards.
Enterprise delivery experience with security and governance constraints.

MCP server setup and usage patterns
AI engineering guardrails and standards
Practical playbook and quick-start guides
