Job Summary :
Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals is seeking a talented and driven AI Engineer to join our growing IT team at our Corporate Headquarters in North Haven, CT. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions that enhance our products and services, collaborating with employees and SMEs across the company.
Responsibilities :
• Design, optimize, and implement machine learning and/or generative AI models for operational and office applications;
• Assess business systems and departments to identify procedures that would benefit from AI processes and use cases;
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate models, frameworks, and architecture based on business requirements;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into production systems;
• Implement AI algorithms using approved frameworks;
• Document models, assumptions, and decision logic;
• Maintain and improve existing AI pipelines and infrastructure;
• Stay current with the latest AI research and technologies.
Qualifications :
Required :
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field
• Two years of related experience with designing, developing and deploying AI-powered solutions in a business environment
• Experience in AI/ML development and deployment
• Proficiency in Python (preferred), C, R, Java or similar as well as one or more ML frameworks
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and model evaluation
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Preferred :
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot
• Experience with data security
