Position Summary: Corevia Staffing is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished AI Engineer specializing in Generative AI and Agentic AI with 10+ years of overall IT and technical experience to support cutting-edge artificial intelligence initiatives on a W2 contract basis across hybrid locations in Atlanta, GA, Hartford, CT, or St. Paul, MN. In this specialized artificial intelligence and machine learning engineering role, you will spearhead developing and prototyping advanced AI systems, building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and architecting multi-agent workflows. You will work closely with cross-functional data science squads, software engineering teams, and business stakeholders to design scalable foundation model solutions, integrate vector databases, and drive AI proof-of-concepts toward production deployment. Ideal candidates bring a robust academic background in computer science or STEM, deep practical mastery of Python, OpenAI, Claude, and agentic orchestration frameworks, and immediate availability for contract engagement.

Detailed Job Description: As an AI Engineer – Generative AI & Agentic AI via Corevia Staffing in a hybrid arrangement across Atlanta, GA, Hartford, CT, or St. Paul, MN, you will take full ownership of designing, building, and scaling advanced machine learning and generative AI architectures. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass developing AI/ML prototypes, implementing RAG memory systems, function calling, tool use, and multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, Strands, and CrewAI. You will write clean code in Python, ReactJS, and NodeJS, build robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub, and leverage developer tooling like GitHub Copilot. Working in a collaborative enterprise environment, you will manage vector databases, support MLOps and AIOps lifecycle monitoring, and ensure strict adherence to responsible AI governance, ethics, and bias mitigation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, prototype, and deploy advanced AI/ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions across enterprise platforms.

Work hands-on with Large Language Models (LLMs), foundation models, and modern artificial intelligence frameworks.

Build sophisticated solutions involving RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), memory systems, tool use, and function calling.

Design, test, and support multi-agent workflows, autonomous AI capabilities, and collaborative agentic systems.

Develop rapid AI proof-of-concepts, conduct rigorous solution testing, and evaluate model performance metrics.

Utilize agentic orchestration frameworks including LangChain, Strands, CrewAI, or similar agentic architectures.

Support MLOps, AIOps, deployment automation, production monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins and GitHub.

Integrate and manage vector databases, embedding pipelines, and AI-powered enterprise applications.

Collaborate closely with data science, software engineering, and business teams to move AI solutions toward production.

Apply responsible AI practices, including governance frameworks, ethical AI design, and bias mitigation protocols.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or equivalent experience.

Minimum 10+ years of overall professional IT and technical experience in software or systems engineering.

Demonstrated professional experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, or advanced analytics solution delivery.

Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, statistical analysis, and model evaluation techniques.

Hands-on professional experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and multimodal AI architectures.

Proven experience designing RAG systems, vector databases, and advanced tool/function calling integrations.

Practical familiarity with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, Strands, CrewAI, or equivalent tools.

Strong programming proficiency in Python, ReactJS, and NodeJS, alongside CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub, Copilot).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder coordination, and cross-functional communication skills.

Professional availability for a W2 contract engagement in hybrid locations (Atlanta, GA / Hartford, CT / St. Paul, MN).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Hands-on operational exposure to AWS Bedrock cloud AI services and managed model endpoints.

Additional experience deploying AI workloads on Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Experience implementing vector similarity search engines (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, Chroma, pgvector).

Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure automation for AI model serving.

Prior working experience in AI product startups, financial technology firms, or enterprise digital consulting practices.

Application Information:

Salary/Rate: Competitive hourly/daily contract rate commensurate with experience

Deadline: Open until filled

Notice Period: Immediate to short notice preferred

Contract Duration: Contract (W2 only) / Hybrid (Atlanta, GA / Hartford, CT / St. Paul, MN)
