Job Title: AI Engineer – Build AI Agents for Marketing (Product-Focused) Location: San Francisco Bay Area (remote-friendly, occasional office visits) Direct Hire Compensation: Competitive base + meaningful equity + benefits About the Role We're looking for a product-minded AI engineer to join a brand-new AI Agents team. You'll build systems that help companies personalize every customer interaction — generating insights from data, identifying high-value users, and automating marketing actions. This is a true 0 → 1 opportunity. You won't just implement AI. You'll help define how it's used across the product. You'll work directly with the CTO and COO, prototyping and shipping new product ideas quickly — sometimes in weeks, not months. What You'll Be Doing Build and experiment with LLM-powered features and autonomous agents Rapidly prototype POCs, then turn successful ideas into production systems Make key decisions about AI architecture, frameworks, and methodology Design AI systems that combine data, analytics, and user workflows Develop production data agents that answer analytics and data science questions about users and marketing performance Create seamless AI-assisted user experiences by deeply understanding customer workflows What We're Looking For Must-haves: 8+ years of software engineering experience Strong backend fundamentals (system design, architecture, APIs, data modeling) Product mindset — you think about users, not just code Enjoy building from scratch and moving fast Interest or experience in AI / LLMs (formal experience not required — curiosity and ability to learn is) Nice-to-haves: Experience with RAG, vector databases, or agent frameworks Familiarity with marketing analytics or customer data platforms Prior work in a small team or early-stage environment
