We are representing a FORTUNE 500 manufacturing organization that is actively seeking an

AI Engineer

to support advanced manufacturing initiatives across a high-volume production environment. This individual will function as a key business partner, translating complex data into actionable insights while building and deploying AI-driven solutions that directly impact plant performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

POSITION OVERVIEW The AI Engineer will operate as a data-informed consultant and strategic partner to operations, engineering, and leadership teams. This role will be responsible for developing, deploying, and scaling AI/ML solutions that drive measurable improvements across manufacturing processes, reliability, and quality systems. The position requires both technical expertise and the ability to influence stakeholders through data-driven storytelling and structured problem solving.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES • Serve as a data-informed business partner, working cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership to identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements • Develop and deploy machine learning models supporting manufacturing use cases including predictive maintenance, quality optimization, process improvement, and forecasting • Build and manage data pipelines leveraging plant systems (IoT sensors, MES, ERP), including data collection, cleansing, and feature engineering • Implement MLOps best practices including model deployment, monitoring, retraining, and scalability across edge and cloud environments • Translate complex business problems into actionable AI solutions, ensuring alignment with plant, campus, and enterprise-level strategy • Establish performance metrics and measurement systems to validate ROI and effectiveness of AI initiatives • Lead system creation and standardization of data structures to improve accessibility, visibility, and decision-making across the organization • Act as a translator and storyteller—converting analytics into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Influence and persuade stakeholders through data-backed recommendations while navigating organizational dynamics and driving adoption • Support continuous improvement initiatives through predictive analytics, trend analysis, and forward-looking modeling • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and continuously evolve AI capabilities within the manufacturing environment

POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline • 2+ years of experience in AI/ML development within a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred • Strong programming experience in Python with working knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and deployment of scalable AI solutions • Demonstrated experience building data pipelines and working with large, complex datasets • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, reliability concepts, or industrial systems is highly preferred • Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization and work cross-functionally • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment with a structured, problem-solving mindset
