Contract (6 months with potential extensions) About the Opportunity Optomi is seeking an experienced AI Engineer for an exciting opportunity supporting a large-scale enterprise AI initiative. This role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing Agentic AI solutions that enhance an existing ERP platform and automate complex business processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering foundation, hands-on experience developing Generative AI applications, and the ability to work across multiple AI technologies to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement Agentic AI solutions using Python and modern AI frameworks. Build AI-powered applications leveraging LangChain, LangGraph, and other agent orchestration technologies. Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions to integrate LLMs with enterprise data and systems. Integrate AI capabilities into existing applications, ERP platforms, and business workflows. Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional AI solutions. Design scalable, maintainable AI architectures that support evolving business needs. Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance AI applications throughout the development lifecycle. Required Qualifications 4+ years of professional software engineering or AI development experience preferred. Strong hands-on Python development experience. Experience building Generative AI and Agentic AI applications. Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI orchestration frameworks. Experience implementing RAG architectures and integrating large language models (LLMs) into applications. Strong understanding of software engineering principles, application architecture, and API integration. Ability to independently design, develop, and implement AI solutions. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with evolving technical requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing or deploying AI applications within AWS environments. Experience with CrewAI, vector databases, or additional AI frameworks. Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise applications or ERP platforms. Knowledge of financial systems, accounting workflows, or business process automation. Experience supporting production AI applications. Work Arrangement This opportunity requires onsite collaboration three days per week in either Mountain View, CA or New York, NY. Candidates located outside these markets may be considered if they are comfortable with consistent weekly travel. Approved business travel expenses are reimbursable. Why This Opportunity?
