Building full-stack components for Innovation Crew pilots, the full-time AI Engineer will develop backend services, API integrations, and frontend implementations while collaborating closely with the AI Experience Engineer in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
Build full-stack features and components for Innovation Crew pilots, ensuring clean and well-documented code for handoff to maintaining teams
Integrate builds with JD Power's core data infrastructure, confirming data access and connection patterns before development
Contribute to the Power Agents library by implementing new agent patterns and ensuring modules are auditable, testable, and reusable
Required qualifications
Full-stack engineering fundamentals across backend (REST APIs, cloud-native service patterns) and frontend development
Demonstrable curiosity about AI systems, with experience building applications using LLM APIs
Ability to write clean, well-documented code and a fast-learning orientation to absorb direction and contribute meaningfully
Familiarity with Python and/or TypeScript, and experience with agent frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph
Understanding of observability basics, including the difference between traces and logs
