Overview
AI Engineer role at Infosys. This position supports digital transformation for clients in a global delivery model. The engineer will research technologies, recommend appropriate solutions, and contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards.
The candidate will help identify best-fit architectural solutions for projects, design applications, and provide regular support and guidance to project teams on complex coding and issue resolution to ensure high-quality technical solutions within the technology specialty, in compliance with Infosys guidelines and norms. This role emphasizes teamwork, learning, excellence, and respect for diversity.
Responsibilities
Identify and design best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects.
Develop application design and provide regular support to project teams on complex coding and issue resolution.
Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards and ensure solutions are high-quality and compliant with guidelines.
Collaborate in a learning culture with emphasis on teamwork, excellence, and diversity.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive experience in lieu of every year of education.
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Raleigh, NC or Hartford, CT or Tempe, AZ or Indianapolis, IN or be willing to relocate to the area.
At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
At least 2 years of experience in AI, data engineering, creating data pipelines, and processing large volumes of data.
At least 2 years of experience in machine learning engineering / MLE, data science, and data engineering with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.
Experience designing and implementing scalable AI and data science solutions capable of handling large-scale, distributed data and compute workloads across hybrid and cloud-native environments (OCI).
Experience in hyperparameter tuning and performance optimization for AI/ML and Generative AI models.
Full stack or development experience in Python or Java, or .Net or React, Node.js, Flask/Django, REST APIs, and Terraform automation.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch, with NLP experience as applicable.

Additional Information
The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Ability to communicate by telephone, email, or in person. Some travel may be required based on job requirements.
